Washington D.C. Photography

I had the most amazing trip! Christine and I traveled and explored the city (by foot) in such a short period of time. We dined and drank margaritas. We chatted with other travelers and really go to spend some quality time together.

Here are a few things that I love about D.C.

1. The brick houses
2. The people
3. Lots + lots of green trees
4. The history + culture
5. The sound of locusts

It's so good to have friends like Christine.

I met Christine at SDSU. We were both taking several of the same Journalism classes. She's from Cologne, Germany and I'm hoping to visit her someday soon. In the meantime, I'm trying to persuade her to move to the states permanently.

The next day, we rented a car + relexed at Chesapeake Beach.

I thought it was funny.

Later that night, we took our cameras to the memorials to take some cool night shots.

D.C. is a wonderful city. It's so ALIVE! I hope to revisit it again.

Thanks Christine for being an AWESOME friend!!!

Torrey Pine State Park Wedding [Jeni + Rolf]

07.14.08

I knew immediately the first time I met these two that we would get along perfectly. They wanted the emphasis on their wedding to be natural and unobtrusive. They wanted images that captured the true spirit of their day. I loved it! I am so blessed that they found me and allowed me to get a small peek into their lives.

Jeni + Rolf are from South Africa and recently moved to San Diego. They have a certain way about them that's calming + refreshing. It was so nice to be around them.

They decided to have an intimate ceremony at the Torrey Pines State Reserve. It was the perfect day. They had a musician come and play an eclectic collection of songs on her flute and saxophone. The event itself was simple, yet beautiful in so many ways. These are times when I realize how lucky I am to be able to witness + document moments like these.

Afterwards, we headed to the Addison Restaurant at the Grand Del Mar.

Jeni is a few months pregnant. She was glowing the whole day.

Rolf loved the architecture at the hotel, so I made sure to get a few images for him.
